Duties of a Youth Marshal

The Youth Marshal is the main safety officer and organizer who oversees youth combat activities. Youth combat in the SCA is similar to both armored and rapier combat, but because the participants are younger, different safety equipment is used and safety practices like the amount of force used in fighting are more strictly regulated. SCA youth combat includes both armored and rapier equivalent activities. The Youth Marshal makes sure that all participants are being safe, chivalrous, and healthy.
