Duties of an Archery Captain

The baronial captain of the archers is the main safety officer who oversees target style archery activities in the barony. In SCA target archery, archers hone their skills with historical style bows (including crossbows) on the range. The captain of the archers makes sure that everyone is following safety guidelines when bows and arrows are involved.

The SCA also practices combat archery for both armored and rapier combat. In order to find out more about those styles, you can speak with a marshal from one of those two types of activities.

• Report something or someone being unsafe on the archery range
