Duties of a Knight Marshal

• Report seeing something or someone that isn’t being safe in combat

• Learn what you need to do to purchase or make the right kind of armor for combat The Knight Marshal is the safety officer who oversees armored combat activities within our barony. In armored combat, combatants don heavy armor and helmets and fight each other; similar to noble knights of the high middle ages. They also engage in melee battles where many people compete in teams or for the last man standing. For all of this, the Knight Marshal makes sure that all participants are being safe, chivalrous, and healthy. Despite the name of the office, a Knight Marshal is not always a knight in the SCA and knights are not always marshals.
