This month will see many changes, from the blissfully dropping temperatures to the resumption of the coming school year. But wait, summer is not yet over!! There continues to be a lot of ways you can share your Dream with one and all, bringing newcomers with you along the way! See us at weekly fighter practice on Tuesday, Archery and thrown weapons practice on Thursdays, or any number of guild meetings and workshops throughout the month! Barons War was so much fun this year, though smaller, it was an excellent experience. Vivat to Bastion and his team for making Barons War a success! I had such a good time spending time with you, one and all! We will continue to invite one and all to join us for the various coming events and activities throughout this fine month. On the 11th– 13th, The Incipient Barony of Bronzhelm is sponsoring the Conquest of the Wastelands, on the 18th-20th, The Shire of Windgate is hosting Whipping Winds, and the 25th-27th is Raptor War in the great lands of Arn Hold. Looking further into the future, Coronation and Harvest War are coming soon in September, so plan on attending these fabulous events, if you are able!
Though these events are pretty far north, fear not, for we have a demo at the Utah Renaissance Faire at Thanksgiving Point the 25th and 26th! As always, please share with us any award recommendations as you see our amazing populace do great things! We want to recognize all of you for being fine examples at all levels of the game! Your recommendations are what make my personally favorite part of the game possible: recognizing all of your hard work. On a similar note, continue to recommend our folks for kingdom level awards as well! If you need help in doing either of these, please reach out for some instruction. It is certainly worth the time and effort!
Officer Openings: We are currently looking for a Chatelaine and deputy Chatelaine (Hospitaller, Demo Coordinator, Head of Publications/ PR,) so please consider serving in any of these roles! See Their Excellencies or our lovely Seneschal for more details! We also are looking for a Thrown Weapons Marshal and deputies for many offices, including individuals willing to train as Marshals in Training for heavy, light, thrown weapons, and archery in order to make the running of events and practices easier for all! One last plug for service, we are always looking for event stewards for all coming events, especially putting in bids for Kingdom level events. We will partner you up with an experienced autocrat so you can learn from their experience and make the task more manageable. So please come and learn more about how the Barony operates by serving one of these vital roles! It’s a perfect way to make new friends and help plan for the success of us all!
