Words of the Baron & Baroness – March 2019

As spring approaches Hoggar and Bronwyn send greetings to the populous of the Barony of Loch Salann.

What a whirlwind of activity this past month has been.  For those of us who suffered under the torrential rains and flooding at Estrella thank you all for pulling together as a Barony and as a Kingdom.  It was a rough time but the camaraderie of everyone there made it bearable.

Those of you who stayed home to protect the Loch and participated in the Wizzarding Dayzz demo, VIVAT!  We have heard that it was a huge success. Our thanks to His Grace Timmur and Lady Elayne for putting it all together and everyone who volunteered their time to make it the success it was.  You are all amazing.

Coronation is always a great event; we hope everyone had as much fun as we did.

Defenders was a blast.  Excellent job Dirk de Jaeger and Maysun for all your work in making the event run smoothly.  Thanks are due to the past Baronial Champions Simon of the Black Hand and Elyas Tigar for the great tournaments as well as the willingness to be adaptable when the weather made the space available to fight in less than ideal.  Congratulations to His Grace Sean and Lord Virgil, the Barony is well protected. Thanks to Her Grace Nissa and m’Lady Robyn for being the best Shrimp Bait woo haha! His Excellency Raven has been named the Defender of the Arts and Sciences for his beautiful scroll work.  Ulrich von Grimme is the new Baronial Bard and Henry de Spencer will continue as the Baronial Youth Champion.

Looking forward, there is a Populous Meeting on Wed March 13th at the Hunter Library 4740 w 4100 s WVC 84120 at 7pm. Please come and join us, give us your ideas on how to make the Barony better than it already is.  For those who can’t make it in person we’re going to attempt to stream the meeting via discord. The discord link will be posted on the FaceBook event page.  Discord only requires a web browser to join in. We hope to see as many people as possible in person or virtually then.

The next few events are going to be in the Provence of Arrows Flight and Dragonmarch.  If you can, please support our neighbors to the east and north.

As always we are yours in service,

Hoggar & Bronwyn – Baron & Baroness of Loch Salann
