Words of the Baron & Baroness – February 2019

Unto the populous of the Barony of Loch Salann, Hoggar and Bronwyn send greeting on this cold winter night.  We hope this missive finds you well.

Our first two months of serving as your Baron and Baroness have been an interesting learning experience and we truly hope we have met or exceeded your expectations in The Dream.  Please feel free to approach us with your ideas and suggestions on how to make the Barony and the Society better for all of us.

We are currently in need of an autocrat for Baron’s war.  Although the event is not until July in order for it to be an official event paperwork must be submitted to the Kingdom by mid-March.  As of this writing, no one has volunteered to steward the event. This year’s Baron’s War IS NOT a Kingdom event but it will see the return of the Baronesses’ Champion Tournaments for the Rapier and Hardsuit combatants.   If you have ever thought “I’d like to steward an event” or “I’d love to but I don’t know how.” This is the event for you to try something new. Please contact ourselves and the Seneschal to volunteer at [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected]

Although WAR is almost upon us we beg a boon of those who are remaining behind to protect the Loch.  There is a Demo on February 22nd and 23rd at the Mountain America Exposition Center in conjunction with Wizarding Dayz.  Check out the Baronial Facebook page for more information or contact His Grace Timmur or Lady Elayne Chisholme.

There have been reports of stirring out in the Loch we are concerned that evil spawn of the saline swilling daemon decapod may have survived last year’s ferocious battle. We will send our defenders to the shores of the Great Loch Salann to gather information and report back to us. Be wary and alert of the menace that haunts our lands.  If reports of the beast proved to be true we shall gather on March 9th to defend our lands from this horrid creature.

Until then we remain ever in your Service,

Hoggar & Bronwyn – Baron & Baroness of Loch Salann
