Old Man Winter has been showing his might these past few weeks and has granted us the boon of snow! May the bounty of winter provide the vital water for a long, dry summer! Despite the weather and the challenges thereto, We ask you to accept the challenge of defending the Barony against the Great Brine Shrimp this month at Defender’s Tourney and share with Us the joy of your companionship throughout the month. On Wednesday, the 28th of March, please consider joining Loch Salann University to learn tasks and share your joy for learning. Stay tuned for class listings and descriptions! As always, BLSU will be at Their Excellencies Robert and Leah’s manor.
I also wish to renew our encouragement for The Flower of Chivalry, a Loch Salann tradition dating back over 30 years! Accept this challenge to expand your knowledge of The Dream, mentor others, and make new friends! Take a look at all the various ways you can enjoy the SCA by learning about martial arts in heavy and light combat, persona development, history, costuming, thrown weapons and archery, dance and more! At many events throughout the year, we will teach classes to help you complete this quest! On a final note, please help us stand up the Baronial Guard once more. Their Excellencies are planning workshops to make the shields and tabards for both the armored and fencing guard. Ask us for more details and help us field the Guard!
