Unto the Most Ancient Barony of Loch Salann to We, Dunkr and Owna, send greetings!
July flew by and we are already well into August as I pen this. Before Baron’s War, we joined Their Excellencies Balenor and Teghan at their investiture at Raptor War and had a nice, relaxing weekend in the cool mountains of the western parts of our Kingdom! Baron’s war was a huge success with over 180 in attendance! There was fighting, Arts, Archery, Birthdays, and everything you would expect in a war crammed into a weekend! Thank you to everyone who made it happen! While I was sure we had won one, Their Majesties reminded me of one of the inevitabilities of life, as they sent the Kingdom’s Tax assessor after us (and the other Baronies), claiming all points as taxes for their Majesties.
The rest of August will find her Excellency visiting the Outlands for their Crown and both of us visiting Otherhill in the East for Artemisian Games and Sentinels Keep for the Coronation of a new King and Queen for our fair Kingdom. We look forward to seeing you all on the road.
We are currently looking for a new Chatelaine, as Her Excellency Vigdis has served well beyond her two years and is deserving of a rest.
The rest of our officer corp. is stable and looking for deputies in nearly every office. If you have ever wanted to help server your Barony, taking the role as a deputy is a great way to learn how!
