This Report to the Populace is created to provide a summary of the business of the Baronial Forum. My aspiration is to present this monthly. Minister of Arts & Sciences:
We have continued to have classes at FP at the Viridian Center. During October topics included fabric burn test/Mistress Owna, basic internet research/HE Praxilla, “flip the bird” (origami)/ HL Germaine, and block printing/HE Praxilla. The Needleworker’s Guild continues to meet on the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm at Mistress Bethoc’s castle. Knight Marshall:
A total of 30 heavy fighters attended the FP held at the Viridian Center. We have two Marshalls currently in training. The Knight Marshall’s warrant was extended until such time that his deputy is trained to take his place.
Rapier Marshall:
61 fighters attended FP at the Viridian Center in November. Baroness Amanda was authorized.
Baron and Baroness’s Words:
Solstice Court was the one year anniversary of their stepping up. They expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed to making it a success.
Zoolights Demo:
There is new coordinator at the Hogle Zoo for this event with whom we will be working for next year. We will be considering moving it to a different night as it conflicts with Winterfaire in the Barony of Gryphon’s Lair.
Updates on ongoing Baronial Business:
- We continue to look for sites that we can rent for events. We are working at creating a list of possibilities that Event Stewards can reference. Further information about how to provide information will be forthcoming.
- We are looking for a List Minister, Youth Officer Deputy who will step up to the Youth Officer position and a Youth Combat Marshall.
Updates on Events and Demos in the Planning Stages:
- New Comers and Awardees Party will be held 1/21/16 at Their Excellencies’ castle at 13575 S 1300 E, Draper. Garb optional.
- We are moving forward with planning Defender’s, Coronation and Melee Madness.
- Their Excellencies would like to hold quarterly populace meetings. We will need a site for them, so if you have ideas please contact the Seneschal at [email protected].
Any member of the populace is welcome to attend the monthly Forum, which is held at 7 pm on the second Wednesday of the month, at Their Excellencies, 13575 S 1300 E, Draper.
