Defenders 2019 – Feast Menu

Oh populace!

Are you hungry? Are you ready to have your tastebuds amazed at the mouthwatering morsels that will be laid before you at Defender’s Tourney? Join us for a Savafid Persian feast of delights!

First, enjoy with us a course of breads and butters, burani-ye khiyar (a cucumber spread), and buraq (savory stuffed pastry).

Next, I will serve for you qabuli-ye morassa‘ (jeweled rice with meatballs) and qelyeh-ye mast (a meat stew).

For your delight we will then serve domanzeli (stuffed chicken) and sauteed vegetables with plain palav (rice).

Then, in honor of our brave and fearsome fighters who have protected us for another year, we will serve shrimp in a spiced sauce.

To end your meal, we will have Khabîs (crepes) served with honey, fresh cheese, and topped with fruit.

I hope that our menu has tempted you and that we will see you at our tables after the tournaments have finished. Feast will be capped at 65 people, please contact Mistress Jerilyn of Vert Silva at [email protected] to make reservations.

Feast will be tree nut and capcaisin free. I will make gluten free alternatives available where possible, but they will be “prepared in a kitchen that also processes gluten” as it were.

Please contact me at [email protected] if you want to be included in the gluten free list or for any other allergy questions. We will do our best to accommodate them if at all possible.

Documentation for all dishes available upon request.
