Along with the life-giving snowfall, February brings with it many opportunities to revel and share with us The Dream! We have weekly practice in fighting and archery, as well as the opportunity to join our many talented artisans via guild meetings. Come share your passion for learning and get to know some new people! Though we have no formal events in our area during February, please join the Kingdom in attending War!!!! Estrella War will see many great activities and rumor has it that our very own Baron Dunkr will have a special celebration to celebrate his martial prowess and service to The Dream. Looking forward to upcoming local events, we ask all to March 4th to defend the Barony! Defender’s Tourney will be held at Sugar Space Arts Warehouse in Salt Lake City. We will hold the annual tournaments to see who will be our Baronial Defenders. See our websites and social media for more details! We have been approached by Their Majesties regarding extending our tenure for one more year. Polling will be taken at Defenders so that we may hear from you, the greatest populace in the Knowne Worlde! We look forward to your honest and sincere response! Right after that we will celebrate with Coronation on the 11th of March, so plan to attend and support the revelry.
I am very excited to share with you a special request, I daresay a quest: The Flower of Chivalry! Please accept this challenge to expand your knowledge of The Dream and make new friends! Take a look at all the various ways you can enjoy the SCA by learning about martial arts in heavy and light combat, persona development, history, costuming, thrown weapons and archery, dance and more! At our weekly fighter practice and at Defenders Tourney, we have classes to help you complete this quest! We have been so proud to see each week’s class well attended. We are currently looking for officers of Deputy Youth Minister, Deputy Youth minister for Youth Combat, List Minister, and many offices seek deputies to help in the general operation of the Barony. Also, please consider serving as an Autocrat/ Event Steward for upcoming events, year-round.
